MEET OUR TRAINERS

A smiling woman in a pink shirt and jeans crouches next to a black Labrador Retriever in an outdoor wooded area during daytime. The woman is wearing sunglasses on her head and a smartwatch, the dog has a red collar, and pine trees are in the background.

SERVICE DOG TRAINER

CAROLYN

Carolyn is Woofability’s Service Dog Training, Lead Trainer and an Accredited Dog Trainer, known for her warm, confident presence and deep commitment to helping both people and dogs thrive.

Her journey into the world of dog training began in the spring of 2022 when she brought home Bruin, a black Labrador and one of Woofability’s first Heart to Home Service Dogs. While supporting his training, Carolyn discovered a true passion for dog behaviour and learning. That passion quickly turned into purpose, and by December 2022, she made the life changing decision to step away from her 18-year career in nursing to join the Woofability team full time.

Carolyn’s background as a nurse, has given her a unique lens when working with clients in the service dog program. Her compassion, problem solving skills, and understanding of human health make her an incredible asset to the team and to the individuals and families she now supports through service dog training.

Outside of work, Carolyn is a proud wife and mom to two busy girls. Whether it’s basketball, softball, swimming, volleyball, or climbing, you can usually find her on the sidelines with a coffee in hand, cheering them on with her energy and heart.
